Tunisian Minister of Interior Habib Essid (R) and Lazhar Akremi (L), newly appointed Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior in charge of reforms open the Conference of the Ministry of the Interior on "forces of order and democracy". Electioneering began on ahead of Tunisia's historic October 23 elections following the toppling of long-time dictator Zine el Abidine Ben Ali.
