FRANCE2012-ELECTIONS-PS-PRIMARY-VOTE-COMBO
A combo of files pictures made on July 13, 2011 in Paris, shows the six contenders for the Socialist Party (PS) primary elections before France's 2012 presidential election (from top, LtoR) Correze general council president and member of parliament (MP) Francois Hollande, French socialist opposition party leader and mayor of Lille Martine Aubry, Saone-et-Loire general council president and deputy Arnaud Montebourg, Poitou-Charentes' region president Segolene Royal, Essonne departement member of Parliamentdeputy Manuel Valls and Radical Party of the Left president Jean-Michel Baylet. Francois Hollande won a clear lead in the first round of the French left's presidential primary Sunday but not enough votes to avoid a second round run-off, according to partial results. With around two thirds of votes counted, Hollande, a former Socialist party leader, had 39 percent, ahead of the creator of France's 35-hour work week Martine Aubry on 30 percent and anti-globalist Arnaud Montebourg on 17 percent.
