US agents have foiled what has been called a "significant terrorist act" linked to Iran which would have included the assassination of the Saudi US ambassador and other attacks, US media reported October 11, 2011.The Justice Department scheduled an announcement at 1800 GMT on what it called "significant national security enforcement action." News reports said the plot included the assassination of the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States, with a bomb and subsequent bomb attacks on the Saudi and Israeli embassies in Washington.
