NETHERLANDS-VINCENTRE-VAN-GOGH-FILES

(FILES) A file photo taken on September 17, 2010 shows the entrance of the new Vincentre, the Vincent van Gogh Center, before its official opening in Nuenen, southern Netherlands. The Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam said on October 17, 2011 that a claim by two US authors that van Gogh may not have taken his own life is "interesting", but it was premature to discard the long-held suicide theory. In a new biography of the Dutch-born painter, Steven Naifeh and Gregory White Smith detail forensic evidence they say proves van Gogh was killed by two brothers at a farm in Auvers-sur-Oise in France.
