COLOMBIA-UNREST-FARC-CANO-NEWSPAPERS
A vendor arranges newspapers reporting on the death of the leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), Alfonso Cano, on a sidewalk in Medellin, Antioquia department, on November 5, 2011. Cano, whose real name was Guillermo Leon Saenz Vargas, was killed by Colombian troops as a result of a military operation launched in southern Cauca department several days ago, the government announced late on November 4. President Juan Manuel Santos, calling Cano's demise "the strongest blow sustained by the guerrilla group in all of its history," urged the FARC to lay down their arms. "Demobilize or you will end up in prison or in a grave," the president warned. AFP PHOTO/Raul ARBOLEDA
