COLOMBIA-UNREST-FARC-CANO
Colombian soldiers that took part in the operation that killed the top leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, Guillermo Leon Saenz Vargas, also known as Alfonso Cano, rest at a military base in Popayan, Cauca department, on November 5, 2011. Cano was killed by Colombian troops as a result of a military operation launched in southern Cauca department several days ago, the government announced late on November 4. President Juan Manuel Santos, calling Cano's demise "the strongest blow sustained by the guerrilla group in all of its history," urged the FARC to lay down their arms. "Demobilize or you will end up in prison or in a grave," the president warned. AFP PHOTO/Luis ROBAYO
