ITALY-SCIENCE-PHYSICS-NEUTRINO-FILES
(FILES) Picture taken on November 14, 2011 shows a scientist looking at the Oscillation Project with Emulsion-Racking Apparatus detector (OPERA) at the Gran Sasso National Laboratory (LNGS) located under the Gran Sasso mountain. A fiercely contested experiment that appears to show the accepted speed limit of the Universe can be broken has yielded the same results in a re-run, European physicists said on November 18, 2011. The neutrinos had been measured along a 732-kilometre (454-mile) trajectory between the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland and a laboratory in Italy.
