Unemployed men from the central Tunisian mining region of Gafsa show their diplomas on November 25, 2011 in Tunis in front of the headquarters of the Gafsa Phosphates Company (CPG), whose recruitment policy led to violence particularly in the towns of Oum Larayes and Mhdilla. Barbed wire was placed around the headquarters of the GPC and its parent, the Tunisian Chemical Group, located on the same street, and special army and police units guard the buildings.
