TUNISIA-POLITICS-EMPLOYMENT-UNREST-MINES
Unemployed men speak with a police officer in front of the headquarters of the Gafsa Phosphates Company (CPG) in Tunis on November 30, 2011, as they protest the outcome of CPG recruitment exams which they say are "falsified" and "unfair". Two unemployed have attempted suicide today outside the offices of the CPG in Tunis after a week of protest against the recruitment policy of the company, the main employer in the region hit by unemployment, said an AFP journalist. Barbed wire were placed around the headquarters of the GPC and its parent, the Tunisian Chemical Group (TCG), located on the same street, and special army and police units were guarding the buildings.
