The former chairman of the Council of Federation and current leader of the Just Russia party leader Sergei Mironov gives a news conference in Moscow on December 5, 2011. The ruling party of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, the United Russia party, won on December 5 Russia's parliamentary elections but with a sharply reduced majority, in a blow for the Russian strongman ahead of his planned return to the Kremlin in 2012.
