GABON-VOTE
A man stands near a poster explaining how to vote at the Ba Oumar school voting station of Libreville, on December 17, 2011. Turnout was low as Gabon voted Saturday in legislative elections boycotted by part of the opposition in the west African oil state. With a thumping victory expected for President Ali Bongo's Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG), the turnout appeared to be the main stake in the polls. The PDG and its allies hold 98 of the 120 seats in parliament and are not expected to lose much ground in the face of a splintered opposition. AFP PHOTO / RicoD
