Democratic Party (PD) general secretary Pier Luigi Bersani takes part on December 17, 2011 in an antiracist march in Florence in memory of the two Senegalese who were killed on December 13 by a far-right Italian. Witnesses said they saw the gunman calmly getting out of a car at a street market on Piazza Dalmazia, north of the city centre, and firing three shots that instantly killed the two Senegalese vendors and seriously wounded a third.
