FRANCE-TURKEY-ARMENIA-GENOCIDE-PARLIAMENT
French UMP right-wing ruling party MP for the Bouches-du-Rhône region, Valerie Boyer, who authored Armenian Genocide denial bill, delivers a speech at the French National Assembly, on December 22, 2011 in Paris during the debate on her bill, which would see anyone in France who publicly denies the 1915 Armenian genocide face a year in jail and a fine of 45,000 euros ($58,000). The planned French legislation has united Turkey's ruling and opposition parties which in a joint declaration denounced it as a "grave, unacceptable and historic mistake.
