Devotees offer prayers after taking a holy dip in the Ganga river during the “Poush Purnima” festival at Sangam, the confluence of the three holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, in Allahabad early on January. The fair is organised on the full moon day in the month of Poush as per the lunar calendar at the Saptakoshi barrage. People from other districts including Siraha, Sunsari, Morang and from different parts of Bihar, India have gathered in the site to observe the fair, according to the fair organizing committee.
