A hand out photo taken 23 January 2004 shows Australian navy personnel boarding the Uruguayan-flagged trawler suspected of illegal fishing for the protected patagonian toothfish in the remote Southern Ocean which commands high prices in the US and Japanese markets. The frigate HMAS Warramunga intercepted the Maya V in Australian waters off Heard and McDonald Islands, more than 4000 kilometres (2,500 miles) south-west of the Australian mainland, and a boarding team rappelled onto the vessel from a helicopter.
