A picture taken on November 5, 2001 shows former Algerian President Ahmed Ben Bella during an interview in Beirut. Contradictory reports have surfaced in Algerian newspapers on the health of the first President of independent Algeria, Ben Bella, some saying he died, others denying it. Ben Bella was admitted to hospital on February 22, 2012.
