A hearing on March 15, 2012 could determine the fate of plans to repatriate explorer Roald Amundsen's three-mast ship Maud from the Arctic, a Norwegian group said. The group asked the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board to review a decision in December to deny an export permit for the ship, after residents of Cambridge Bay opposed losing a treasured part of their history that has also become a tourist attraction in Canada's far north.
