Forensics officers investigatein front of the building where self-professed Al-Qaeda militant Mohamed Merah, 23, was living on the first floor (window at far-right) on March 22, 2012 in Toulouse, southwestern France. Mohamed Merah died some hours earlier in the assault of the RAID special police forces. The man suspected of calmly shooting dead three children and a teacher at a Toulouse Jewish school as well as three French paratroopers in two other attacks twice tried and failed to join the French army.
