FRANCE-SHOAH-DRANCY-EXHIBITION-GRAFFITI
A picture taken on March 26, 2012, shows a gypsum block from partition-cons of the internment camp and transit of Jews in Drancy with graffiti reading "ici était installé le "JUIF" GRUNSTEIN Armand arrivé à Drancy le 16/11" ("Here was installed the" JEW "GRUNSTEIN Armand arrived at Drancy on 16/11") during the exhibition "Names on Walls" at the Shoah memorial in Paris. When replacing a portion of the frames during the spring and summer 2009, graffiti internees were uncovered. All dating from August 1941 is very different: drawings, symbols, fixtures, dates and names, messages, comments, poems. AFP PHOTO/JACQUES DEMARTHON
