BELGIUM-STEEL-DUFERCO-CARSID
The chairman of the Duferco Italian holding, Antonio Gozzi, speaks on March 28, 2012 after an extroardinary company council meeting of the Carsid steelmaking firm in Charleroi. Steelmaker Duferco Belgium, which owns the Carsid plant, announced on March 28 that it was closing the Charleroi site, which was employing 1,000 workers, after failing to find a buyer for the plant, which had been shut down since 2008.
