FRANCE-ATTACKS-TOULOUSE-PRESSER
French Pierre Cohen, the socialist Mayor of the southwestern town of Toulouse, holds a press conference in Toulouse, on March 29, 2012, following his decision to postpone of 24-hour the burial of Islamist extremist Mohamed Merah at the Cornebarrieu cemetery, a Toulouse suburb. Merah, branded a "monster" by French leaders after the killing of three Jewish children and a teacher and three French paratroopers, died in a hail of police bullets on March 22, after a 32-hour siege on his Toulouse flat. First, the body was expected to be repatriated to Algeria, his ancestral homeland, but Algeria refused it for security reasons and despite the family's objections. Pierre Cohen asks to the French authorities to find an other place for the burial. AFP PHOTO /PASCAL PAVANI
