PAKISTAN-WEATHER-AVALANCHE-MILITARY, XGTY

This handout photograph taken on April 8, 2012, released by the Pakistan's Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) shows Pakistan's army chief General Ashfaq Kayani (C) visiting the site of avalanches where some 135 people including 124 Pakistani soldiers are missing on the Siachen Glacier mountains. The Pakistani military on April 8, resumed desperate efforts to find survivors after an avalanche engulfed an army camp high in the mountains of Kashmir, leaving up to 135 people feared dead. The increasingly frantic search on the Siachen Glacier, where Pakistani and Indian troops face off on what is known as the world's highest battlefield, was called off for the night late on Saturday because of darkness and poor weather.
