A man walks past the Lexington Building in east London on May 2, 2012, one of the proposed sites for the deployment of Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) systems as part of the security provisions for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The Ministry of Defence announced on April 30 that six sites in London were being considered for the siting of missile systems during the Games. According to the MOD the converted water tower at the Lexington Building had been identified as a potentional location for the deployment of High Velocity Missile (HVM) systems to compliment the ground based Rapier units that might be deployed elsewhere.
