COLOMBIA-FRANCE-FARC-MEDIA-KIDNAP-LANGLOIS
Loick Berrou (R), responsible for the international service of global television network France24, and a delegate from the French Embassy in Colombia, wait for news from French journalist Romeo Langlois, at a hotel in Florencia, capital of the southern department of Caqueta, Colombia, on May 6, 2012. A video grab shot on May 5, 2012 and released today shows Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) commander Ancizar, alias Monazo, reading a statement confirming they have got Langlois as a 'prisoner of war' and that he indeed suffered a bullet wound to one of his arms but has been treated and is out of danger. Langlois, a 35-year-old reporter for global television network France 24 who had been accompanying soldiers who destroyed five cocaine production labs, went missing on April 28, 2012 after a firefight between security forces and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia in the south of the country.
