INDIA-KASHMIR-UNREST-ATTACK
Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel move a wounded federal policeman receiving medical attention at a hospital in Srinagar on May 30, 2012. Seven Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured during an attack by militants with automatic weapons on a patrol party at Rainawari in downtown Srinagar. The attack comes on a day when the predominentely Muslim Kashmir valley is observing a shutdown called by separatists on the third anniversary of the alleged rape and murder of two local woman in the town of Shopian. The 2009 incident had sparked off widespread disturbances and public protest across the restive Himalayan region. AFP PHOTO/Rouf BHAT
