The bankruptcy trustee for MF Global Holdings may sue former chief executive Jon Corzine and other ex-top executives of the collapsed brokerage, according to a court filing on June 4, 2012. The trustee, James Giddens, is charged with recovering a shortfall of $1.6 billion in customers' funds following MF Global's collapse in October. In a 275-page report filed with the federal bankruptcy court in New York, Giddens suggested claims may be filed against Corzine in the wake of the securities firm's implosion after a huge bad bet on European sovereign debt led to a run on the company's funds.
