Segolene Royal, Socialist Party (PS) candidate in the 1st constituency of Charente Maritime for the French parliamentary elections, distributes campaign leaflets in a supermarket of La Rochelle, western France, on June 11, 2012, the day after the results of the first round of the French parliamentary elections. Segolene Royal risks failing election to the French National Assembly. Royal claimed a 32.03% share of the vote during the first round and faces dissident PS candidate Olivier Falorni, who in turn is refusing to stand down, having secured 28.91% of the vote.
