IRELAND-RELIGION-EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS
Catholic nuns smile as they attend the closing ceremony with around 80,000 pilgrims of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland on June 17, 2012. Pilgrims from more than 120 countries are attending the Congress which is an international gathering held every four years. The Eucharistic Congress organized by the Vatican every four years in a different part of the world begun in the 19th century. It highlights the Catholic ChurchÕs belief in transubstantiation, the idea that bread and wine transforms during Mass into the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ. AFP PHOTO/ PETER MUHLY
