ITALY-RESTORATION-ART-DOOR
A picture taken on June 26, 2012 shows Lorenzo Ghiberti's "Gate of Paradise" of the Florence Baptistery arriving by truck at the Museo dell’Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore after its restoration, in Florence. Inside the "Opificio delle pietre dure" the original doors, the Renaissance bronze and gold doors of the Florence Baptistry, have been restorated after almost three decades. The restored doors will be placed inside the Museo dell’Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore in a temperature controlled environment to protect them from further damage and will be unveiled to the public in September.
