Jean Veil, lawyer of the French bank Societe Generale arrives for the appeal hearing of French rogue trader Jerome Kerviel for his of a 2010 conviction for costing bank Societe Generale billions of euros, at the Paris courthouse on June 28, 2012. The defence called today for his acquittal of a conviction for fraud. The prosecution on the eve described him as "perverse and manipulative" and called for him to to be jailed for five years to make an example of him and deter other would-be rogue traders.
