FRANCE-AGRICULTURE-GASTRONOMY-GOOSE-FOIE-GRAS-FILES
TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY DOMINIQUE BEAUJOUIN
(FILES) A picture taken on November 18, 2011 shows Jean-Pierre Brazzalotto preparing grain to force-feed geese at his Grisettes farm, in Montesquiou, southwestern France. The geese are bred in the Gers region, world-renowned for its foie gras products. The professional French foie gras, which just suffered a ban in California, on behalf of animal welfare, suffer the most English-speaking markets for the same reasons but find consolation with success in Asia.
