Arco Petrochemical Engineering's CEO Alfred Okoigun stands on Arco Marine's new fast crew boat, after its unveiling at the Marina in Lagos, on July 7, 2012. Arco Marine, a subsidiary of Arco Petrochemical Engineering company, has unveiled the third fast crew boat to service oil companies operating in the Niger Delta oil fields. The company, which had suspended its activities in the region following restiveness of militants in the area, resumed the operations with the latest 25 meter aluminium monohull, quad-water jet personnel carriers equiped for high speed and safe manoeuvrability between offshore platforms. The existing opportunities arising from high demand of safe transport vessels by oil companies to ferry their workers to oil fields, and the suspension of hostilities by restive Niger Delta militants in the area, according to Arco CEO Alfred Okoigun, are indications of future opportunities in the sector.
