Laborer wake up on August 9, 2012 after sleeping outdoors at the ''Las Turquillas'' camp near the southern Spanish town of Osuna, where a member of the regional parliament for the United Left party in Andalucia, Juan Manuel Sanchez Gordillo, joined them to support their cause. The Spanish government issued arrest warrants on August 8 for left-wing activists who looted supermarkets and filled trolleys with food to give to the needy in the recession. The Interior Ministry issued the warrant for the group, including its leader Sanchez. The group raided two supermarkets in Andalucia, a region particularly hard hit by a recession brought on by the collapse of its major construction industry.
