A volunteer of the "Ibn Walid" katiba (brigade) sits with a Kalashnikov rifle in front of the pre-Baath Syrian flag, that was adopted by the Syrian revolution during the uprising, following the official launch of the brigade in Marea, in northern Syria, on August 22, 2012.
