(FILES) A picture taken on November 17, 1956 in Issy-les-Moulineaux, a Paris suburb, shows peole queuing in front of the first Leclerc center in the Ile-de-France region, for its inauguration. The founder of the supermarket chain E.Leclerc brand, Edouard Leclerc, 85, died on September 17, 2012, in Saint-Divy in Brittany, his native region. His first supermarket opened in 1948 and his business swelled into one of France's biggest supermarket chains with more than 550 stores. It also runs 114 branches outside France.
