Daniel Soulez-Lariviere, lawyer of energy giant Total, answers journalists' questions at the courthouse of Paris on September 25, 2012 after France's top court upheld Total's conviction for negligence in the Erika shipwreck on 1999 and oil spill that blackened much of the country's Atlantic coastline. The Erika, a rusty 25-year-old tanker that broke in two and sank off the Brittany coast, sparked one of France's worst environmental disasters.
