General view of the Templo Mayor archaeological area in Mexico City, October 05 2012. A trunk of holm oak was found next to a set of 45 human skulls and a sacrifice stone in the archaeological area of the Greater Temple, it is estimated that the skulls are 500 years old and the piece of oak could be one of the sacred trees of the ceremonial area of Tenochtitlán according to archaeologists. The Templo Mayor was the center of the religious life of the Aztecs in their capital city of Tenochtitlan, which is now Mexico City. AFP PHOTO/RONALDO SCHEMIDT
