TO GO WITH "LIFESTYLE-JAPAN-FUNERAL-SOCIETY"
Students, who learn to become "funeral directors" at the private Sundai Travel and Hotel College, set up a coffin in their classroom in Tokyo, 21 February 2004, for their trial-run funeral ceremony just before graduation of their one-year-term class. Japan-s rapidly greying population means funerals are one of the country-s most vital businesses and the prospect of a secure job is attracting many new recruits to the 14-billion-dollar industry.
