South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak's brother appeared before a special prosecutor on November 1 over alleged irregularities in a project to build the president's retirement home. The eldest of Lee's two brothers, Lee Sang-Eun, 79, was called to testify about a 600 million won (542,000 USD) loan he gave to his nephew and the president's only son, Lee Si-Hyung.
