GHANA-VOTE
Supporters of the ruling National Democratic Party celebrate late on December 9, 2012 in Accra the re-election of incumbent John Dramani Mahama after he was declared winner of of the December 7-8 presidential election. But the opposition alleged fraud in a nation that has been seen as a model of African democracy. According to the electoral commission, Mahama won with 50.70 percent compared to opposition candidate Nana Akufo-Addo's 47.74 percent.
