DIVING-BELGIUM-FRANCE-HANDICAP-RECORD

French Philippe Croizon, 44, celebrates underwater on January 10, 2013 after becoming the first quadruple amputee to dive at a depth of 33 meters in the deepest swiming pool in the world in Brussels. He used flippers attached to prosthetic limbs to dive with a group of 15 Belgian divers to the bottom of the pool to set a new world record for an amputee. Croizon had all four limbs amputated in 1994 after being struck by an electric shock of more than 20,000 volts as he tried to remove a TV antenna from a roof. He has swum across the English Channel and all five intercontinental channels. AFP PHOTO GEORGES GOBET
