UKRAINE-SHASHLYK-WORLD-RECORD
Volunteers light a fire on a huge brazier as they prepare to cook a shashlyk, or skewer of meat, measuring 150.6 meters in length in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev to set a new world record on March 2, 2013. Officials of the Ukrainian National Register of Records fixed the new record for the longest shashlyk, a popular food item throughout the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, India, Iran, Mongolia, Morocco, Pakistan and Israel among other places.
