BELGIUM-EU-ECONOMY-FINANCE-MEETING
(From LtoR) Greek Finance Minister Ioannis Stournaras, Spanish Finance Minister Luis De Guindos Jurado, Dutch Finance Minister and Eurozone President Jeroen Dijsselbloem and Danish minister for Economy Margrethe Vestager talk prior to an Economic and Financial Affairs Council on March 5, 2013 at the EU Headquarters in Brussels. The Council will take note of progress on a draft directive on bank recovery and resolution, a proposal that is part of a broader plan to establish a banking union. It will also examine a package of measures aimed at combating VAT fraud – the "quick reaction mechanism" and the "reverse charge mechanism" – and will be called on to adopt conclusions.
