Bulgaria's caretaker cabinet approved Wednesday a set of employment subsidies and small one-off payments for the poorest in a bid to calm social tensions ahead of snap elections next month. The administration, appointed after a wave of street protests toppled the previous government in late February, redirected over 41 million leva (23 million euros, $27 million) from different ministries to help the most vulnerable parts of society.
