The rape-murder trial of Belgian paedophile Marc Dutroux Thursday heard from an investigating judge who earned hero status in Belgium -- but was controversially sacked from the inquiry. The testimony of Jean-Marc Connerotte began a day after Dutroux, testifying for the first time to the shocked court, admitted to a brutal spate of sex attacks on young girls he had held captive in a specially-built cellar.
