(FILES) Picture taken April 23, 1993 in Paris of British biophysicist Francis Harry Compton Crick in front of a blackboard, explaining his work to discover the molecular structure on DNA. According to the Christie's auction house, a bidder paid over 6 million USD at an April 10, 2013 auction for a March 19, 1953 letter Crick wrote to his son Michael, who was 12 at the time. The letter explained the double-helix structure of the DNA molecule, which he and US geneticist James Watson had just discovered.
