SPAIN-RELIGION-POILITICS-FINANCE-ECONOMY-FORCADES
Spanish Benedictine nun Teresa Forcades gestures during an interview with AFP at the Monasterio de St. Benet in Montserrat on April 17, 2013. Forcades studied medecine, theology and religious matters. From her small convent in the mountains near Barcelona, Sister Teresa Forcades, a Harvard-educated Catalan nun, has emerged as a leading advocate of the arguments of Spain's "indignant" protest movement against the excesses of capitalism. Decked in a black habit, Forcades criticised the austerity measures, which include cuts to spending on health care and education, which Spain's conservative government has put in pace to rein in the public deficit during an interview with AFP.
