FRANCE-LIBYA-VOTE-PROBE-FILES
(FILES) - A picture taken on December 2007 in Paris, shows French President Nicolas Sarkozy (R) and Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi leaving the Elysee Palace after the signature of 10 billion euros of trade contracts between the two countries. French prosecutors on April 19, 2013 opened a probe into allegations the Libyan regime contributed to the 2007 campaign of Nicolas Sarkozy, who went on to become president, a judicial source said. The probe -- the latest in a string of allegations relating to Sarkozy's years in office and electoral campaigns -- is looking into charges of "active and passive corruption", "influence peddling" and others, the source added.
