French Athletic Federation vice president Pierre Weiss (R) speaks after he exchanged documents of agreement with Yohei Kono (L), president of the Japan Association of Athletics Federations in Tokyo on May 1, 2013. The Japanese and French athletics federations signed a comprehensive partnership agreement to cooperate in boosting their competitive levels toward the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. Under the indefinite agreement, the two sides will exchange information on athlete development, organise event-by-event joint training sessions, sharing training camps and promote exchanges of coaches and junior athletes.
