(FILES) - A picture taken on November 2006 shows an unarmed missile, fired over the Bay of Biscay from a launch test centre on France's southern Atlantic coast. A strategic ballistic missile M51 without nuclear warhead was launched on May 5, 2013 from "Le Vigilant" nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine, from the Bay of Audierne, western France, wich was "destroyed shortly after takeoff, in-over the ocean, "said the Ministry of Defence, in a statement.
